We were able to hike both of these wonderful short hikes today. There was a "Bear in Area" sign at Ptarmigan but we didn't see it. We did see lots of ground squirrels, lots of sheep, and lots of other hikers. The wildflowers were beautiful but I think we passed the peak of them a week or 2 ago.
Onward to the Black Prince Cirque hike where up until the 9th of July a "Closed due to a Grizzly kill site" sign was posted. Luckily there was no evidence of carnage to be seen, only some more great flowers, a huge 'rock garden' and a bug infested spot for lunch. The lake was beautiful as always, but we didn't linger too long for bear of becoming lunch ourselves!
