Five of us made the trek up to the Plain of the Six Glaciers. The trail was snow covered, and although icey in some patches, was fair. We started out from the parking lot at 10:30 am, and arrived at the tea house before 12:30. We decided to head to the Plain of the Six Glaciers, another 1.6 km. When we arrived, the trail was unmarked, and in places the snow was quite deep. Our three male companions all made the trip to the end, while Margah and Catherine stayed back and enjoyed lunch. Although cloudy most of the day, it was not cold until this spot. So, the stop was short; we stopped again at the tea house, and enjoyed a more relaxing lunch. It was just past 4 pm when we returned to the parking lot, and just after 6 pm when we got back to Calgary. All in all a great hike, and thanks to everyone who made it so enjoyable. Distance covered 14 km, with a 380 metre gain.
