Write Up:The weather was perfect, the trail was ok - and the group was fantastic. We started from Station Flats just before 10 am, and were back by 3 pm. During our five hours on the trails, we hiked up Sulphur Springs Trail, crossed Moose Mountain Road, and had lunch at the clearing. We had fantastic views of the various mountains, and the weather was pleasant for lunch. Our return route went along Riverview Trail, and again we had some spectacular views. We stopped for a short rest on the rocks near the shore of the river. As expected, we had a bit of a time finding our way out of Paddy Flats, even though we had two GPS's and Ed. But we made it. There were several icy patches on the trail, where cleats were helpful, but most of the group managed very well without them. We covered almost 14 kms. A great day.
