Not everyone at Waterton Lake was adventurous enough to camp this weekend; four decided to opt for the comfy bed, and warm showers over the challenges and delights of the great outdoors. But fortunately for us, we were a full part of the COC group. We journeyed to the campsite on Friday evening, and had a wonderful time chatting with our fellow COC hikers. On Saturday, all four of us joined Rhonda on the hike to Bertha Lake, and loved it. The flowers, waterfall, and lake were spectacular. Upon returning, we gathered back at the motel for "happy hour", before heading to a local restaurant for supper. Sunday we headed in different directions - Sue joining Rhonda at Lineham Creek; the other three initially visiting Red Rock Canyon (well worth the short trip), and then Blakiston Falls, Cameron Lake, tiny Linnet Lake, and the town. Cameron Falls is definitely worth the drive, and upon a future trip, is the start of the Carthew Alderson trail. Thanks Rhonda for organizing a great trip for all of us.
