To all of the nay-sayers (and there were plenty) who thought we couldn't go snow shoeing today, we just have one thing to say... pbbbbbbbbbbbbtttttttt!! Not enough snow, eh? Feh!

Actually, on the whole drive out there, we were thinking "There's no WAY we're snow shoeing today... there's just not enough snow", but lo and behold, just like magic when we got to the Chester Lake Trailhead, we were greeted by PLENTY of snow! We started off to blue skies, with a snow cloud behind us, giving it to Burstall Pass. Before we reached the halfway point, that cloud caught up with us and started giving it to us, but good. We had to describe the spectacular views for Tammy so that she could enjoy, in her imagination, what we were enjoying in our memories of previous trips.

We encountered several telemarkers rocketing down the hill, and managed to jump out of the way of each one of them as they sailed by. There were a couple more snow shoers, and a couple of hikers on the hill, too. We had a quick re-fueling stop up by the lake, while the snow continued to fall. Once we started heading back, the sky opened up, and voila! there were our wonderful views! We got several eyefulls, and a few good photos as well. On the way down, it was amazing to see how much snow had fallen while we were out.

Nay-sayers... your powers of negativity are no match for the COC Weather Witch (especially on Halloween)! Try again another day...
