Fresh snow in the mountains combined with warm outside temps made for perfect hiking conditions with really great scenery. It just doesn't get any better than this, and we worked it for all we could in an effort to convince Jorinda that she will enjoy winter hiking just as much ... ;)
This trail is not well marked which led to several group consultations, and some bush-wacking on the way out. Thanks to Ed's great sense of direction we never were very far off course tho :) It was really nice to see Rummel Lake and area in the fall - such a beautiful place at any time of year. The larches have not yet started to change color.
