Write Up:
The event was a great success. 11 people were able to make it out and choclification began promptly at 7 and lasted over an hour and a half. There were MANY desserts to choose from: tortes, mousses, chocolate pizza, bark, brittle, brulee, squares, cakes, tarts, cookies, but one of the favorites was the chocolate fondue fountain. Forget dipping, this chocolate fondue had a chocolate waterfall all the way around that you only had to pass your fruit under......

Mercifully there was fruit to balance the sweetness and, though intended for the fondue, many of us took plates of strawberries (which were excellent for this time of year) to munch on in between chocolate. The pasta bar (not included) tempted most of us for the night with its nice garlic aroma but I am proud to say we all restrained ourselves and remained faithful to the chocolate buffet.

I think me and Barry must be among the only men in the city with a sweet tooth. Aside from the 9 fine women in our group, the next 2 large tables consisted entirely of women. Hmmmm...... women.......chocolate.........women........chocolate.........I think there may be some sort of connection..........

Sorry, no pics, forgot the camera. Maybe group #2 next Thursday will get some pics of the fantastic food.

Cheers,
Ian MacDonald
