Write Up:
Wow and Wow again, this is the second best hike I have ever been on since joining the club and maybe before that. Was it because of the great weather???? It rained on us a lot. Was it the fact we had Gem and Yoda with us running around reminding us to be kids?? Nope. I am immature enough as it is (although I recommend hiking with dogs whenever you can so thanks for bringing them. Was it the large group of hikers that kept laughing and enjoying themselves with large smiles at the top of the pass? Nope. Although they were a lot of fun and I hope to hike with them all again soon. Was it the fact then when we got there the sun broke through at the pass and we saw spectacular sites of mountain tops, alpine meadows, lakes and waterfalls, and one large mountain dog running around like he was seven months and not seven years? Nope. I get National Geographic and look at pictures, although this is the most rewarding view and I would recommend this to anyone and will do it at least once a year to clear my head.

So why is it the second best hike? It's because I had a severe leg cramp in my calf that hurt enough for me to think twice about turning around. This delayed people and they were kind enough to put up with me being slower than normal. And as a result, Michelle was kind enough to give me a massage that worked wonders. Sure the leg still hurt, but I could not give a rat's ass as I have never smiled so much and had more men give me dirty looks as they were thinking, is this a ploy???? I will never tell. Actually thanks Michelle, it did make the hike down a lot less painful and I am quite sure your nickname could become the masseuse (if I spelt that right) .

It was a late day back to town only because the views were enjoyed for a lot longer than usual but can you blame us? This is one hike worth cheering to at the Kilkennys next time there. Well done.
