GOLDEN PERFORMANCE!!
Although it was one of the most one-sided victories in COC soccer history, all 27 who attended tonight’s match had a great time. Team Gold played a very solid game taking advantage of all their opportunities to defeat Team Blue by a final score of 10-1. You would think with a score like that there would be many unhappy participants on the Blue side but to their credit everyone remained upbeat, encouraging and extremely positive. All participants from both sides demonstrated a high level of sportsmanship throughout the entire evening and the score never really seemed to matter. It was an absolutely fantastic group and super good time!
Tonight's "Player of the Game" award was presented immediately following the game to Aaron Baginski who played his heart out all night for Team Blue. He created many great scoring chances and never quit until the final buzzer. As always, he demonstrated great sportsmanship and leadership on the field. A talented soccer player and a very friendly guy, it is a pleasure having him at each event. Congratulations on your award Aaron!
After the game the majority of us headed upstairs to the Soccer Centre pub where we ate, drank and socialized with one another well into the evening. Thanks again everyone for another highly entertaining, well played match! As usual it was a ton of fun! See you all next time.
