Write Up:
What a great day!! Some of us did the trail on Moose Mountain and some of us did the trail at the bottom of Sulphur Springs. CMBA did a great job with the coordination, instruction and tools. I was absolutely shocked that we were able to clear, cut, and sculpt our section of the trail. So what else were a bunch of mountain bikers to do??? Ride the trail we just built. It was an absolutely incredible feeling to ride a trail you just built. Now I know why people build trails. I would like to put forth to CMBA that we name the Sulphur Springs portion of the trail that we built, Ray's Trail. This is after our British friend who joined the club and came on tons of rides with us. He is heading back home in August so I think it would be great to think of Ray, when we are riding Ray's Trail even though he won't be riding with us. Once again a million thank yous to everyone that came out and helped today, it's good to be a giver. To the rest of you, you're welcome. *****The Moose Mountain group, of which there were only 6, did 780m of trail; while the Sulphur Springs group, a modest 15, did 270m of trail.***** GPS stats provided by Gord. Hey maybe the next time you hear a trail leader say if you want to come with me and do the easy work you'll see the red flag. Thanks again guys! Perhaps we'll do a few more.
