Another fun evening of indoor soccer at the Calgary Soccer Centre tonight! Once again we enjoyed a solid 2 hours of field time allowing all 24 of us the opportunity to work up a good sweat. It was an interesting evening as the momentum seemed to shift back and forth throughout the game. In the first frame Team Blue dominated scoring 5 times to Team Gold’s 1. In the middle frame it was all Team Gold as they scored 3 times while completely shutting out Team Blue. As teams headed into the 3rd and final frame it looked as though Gold was going to complete the comeback but Team Blue pulled up their socks and stole back the momentum scoring 6 more times to secure an 11-6 victory of Gold. After the game many of us headed upstairs to the Soccer Centre Pub where we enjoyed some nachos and ice cold beverages. As usual, a great time was had by all.
Tonight's "Player of the Game" award was presented immediately following the game to Mark Chittick, a long time veteran of COC soccer. He played a solid game scoring 3 of Team Gold’s 6 goals on the night. He is a great guy who brings a lot of energy to each and every event. He is a highly entertaining individual who is a lot of fun to have around. It has been a real pleasure getting to know him. Congratulations on your award Mark!
