Itinerary:
We will begin our hike at the service road entrance to the Dam and hike along the north side of the Bow River to the Bearspaw Dam and reservoir and possibly beyond.

Required Items to Bring:
Sturdy Footwear (river bank is rocky and uneven)
Rain Gear (if weather is bad)
Water (for human and Fido)
Warm Clothes

How to Get There:
Event Directions:We'll meet at the gravel parking lot at the service road entrance to the Bearspaw Dam:

** Go west on Crowchild Trail and turn south on Nose Hill Drive
** Heading south on Nose Hill Drive go past the Crowchild Twin Arena to where Nose Hill Drive veers west and proceed to the traffic lights at 87th Street (If you arrive at Stoney Trail you've gone too far).
** Turn south on 87th street and go to "T" intersection (Bearspaw Dam Road) and turn west (right).
** Go west for 3.3 kms on Bearspaw Dam Road (along the way... Stoney Trail passes overhead and you'll drive past the Calgary West Soccer Centre's large white bubble on your right side) to the end of the road.
** The road ends at the "Inland" quarry entrance gate and parking is off on the south side.
** Note: QUARRY GATE IS SIGNED AND GATE TO QUARRY IS USUALLY CLOSED BUT MAY BE OPEN - DO NOT PROCEED INTO QUARRY.
***NOTE: KEEP DOGS ON LEASH IN THIS AREA AS THERE IS LOTS OF TRAIN ACTIVITY***
