Itinerary: | |||||||
Elevation gain: 700M Distance: 13 KM return Proper hiking footwear required, sorry no runners or jeans.(fabric of death when cold)(: thanks Come on out and try out this hike which is close to Calgary. The trail winds and switchbacks upwards through forests and leads us to panoramic views of the prairies/foothills and surrounding peaks. Please remember that at this time of the year you should expect snow on the trail, therefore, it's alot more of a workout to hike in snow than on dry terrain. One tires out more quickly. PACE:Please note that this is not a speed demon's hike(getting to the top in record time), we will be hiking at a casual pace. If you're not sure about a hike, please always feel free to contact the coordinator's and remember to always hike within your ability. If you have Never hiked or Recently hiked with 500M+ OR you are switching from URBAN HIKES to mountain hikes, it is highly recommended that you start with lower elevations and build up from there.If you're use to doing "Slowpoke Pace Hikes" then this hike is unfortunately not for you.. | |||||||
