Itinerary: | |||||||
Sad but true - fall is here and hence, night riding is upon us. Bring your (serious, off-road) lights and let's do a little more advanced night MTB riding.
Join us for a mountain bike adventure in the dark. You MUST have a 10-watt (or greater) lamp, handlebar- or helmet-mounted. Here is an example of the type of light you need - an inexpensive headlamp is not sufficient to light the trail. MEC lights about 250 lumens ( or even better these with about 700 lumens. Here's the weather forcast (click for future) - no excuses there: This trail is partially drained (but the rest will be frozen). This ride is a fun loop combination of old logging roads and single track. Though the overall elevation gain is low, you do climb and drop. The loop itself is 16 km.
The pace will be moderate but steady with only short breaks along the way. This is not a beginner ride. You should have experience riding off road trails. There may be some muddy sections but with all of the drying this is a great time to ride this trail! | |||||||
