Itinerary:
The COC Training Program

The objectives of the Calgary Outdoor Training Program in 2009 are to:
a) provide educational sessions to members
b) raise awareness about different aspects of the outdoors
c) increase the members' safety while enjoying their activities in the mountains
d) provide everyone the opportunity to ask pertinent questions

Plan your Canadian Rockies hiking/back-packing and scrambling adventure with the latest route, weather, and point-of-interest information at your fingertips with Mapitfirst. This is a one stop application whereby one no longer has to flip through different hard copy books/maps/etc.. With Mapitfirst "The Canadian Rockies", you'll have access to continuous up-to-date information on thousands of trails and full color topographical maps for Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise, Yoho, Kootenay, Kananaskis and Assiniboine. Important links to key web sites are positioned on the map for your convenience. Access to nearly 300 trail descriptions are available at your fingertips. Maps and trails can be viewed in 3D to give you a better picture of the trail you are planning to hike. Unique features allow you to create your own trail to uncharted territories, modify the route and download the data to your GPS or PDA.

This evenings presentation will given by Tom Keanny-owner and developer of this great software.
