| Itinerary: |
We will start at the Lake Louise Village, near the CPR station and ride the Tramway trail to the Chateau. We will then ride from the Chateau to Ross Lake.
The total distance is 26 km with ~200 meters of elevation. It is a steady climb on the Tramway trail and then the single track Ross Lake trail does not have a lot of elevation but it is more technical due to a few rocky sections which are described as entertaining. The ride back down the Tramway trail is a blast.
Ross Lake is a beautiful small lake with a steep rockwall on the far side. This trail is well worth the drive to Lake Louise.
The pace will be moderate and steady with short breaks and lunch at the lake. This trip is geared to intermediate level riders with the physical and technical capacity for the ride.
Optional drinks and snacks after the ride so consider this when carpooling.
Please note the coordinator has not done this ride before but is very familiar with the area, so patience may be required. |
