Itinerary:

To encourage new runners we have decided to formally create two groups. One group will run about 5:30 minutes per km and the second group headed by myself will run 6:30 minutes per km or slightly slower. I suspect there may be a group in the middle. We will run 10 minutes and walk 1 minute (10 and 1s). We will run from the parking lot to the Edmonton Trail bridge, along the south side of the river up to Crowchild Trail and back on the north side of the river. The distance is 10kms. Not to worry because if you are not comfortable with 10kms you can jump off at 10st, or 14 st and shorten the run to 6km or 8km respectively.

If driving to the meeting point, you may want to park up on the hill as parking will be quite limited in the nearby lot due to Folk Fest.

This run is targeted for runners who have had the basic instruction, or have experience running and are able to run 10 and 1s.

Please note: dogs must be on leash at all times and use to running in a group.

Required Items to Bring:

- Clothing appropriate for the weather - rain, snow or shine

Access via Memorial from Edm Trail or 10 St - Club is located at the stairs across from Prince's Island Park, north side of Memorial. Alternate parking can be found at the top of the hill - Crescent Dr.
Multiple buses and trains service the downtown area and it's easy to cross Prince's Island to get to the start.
