MA-WE-GA: Tipi Hike, BBQ and Dance!!!!

This event is for those who are afraid of the dark, do not like to sleep in Tipi or share a tipi with 5 others.

This is a special Tipi event.

About the place:
Clearwater Tipi Park is a secluded, fenced park site operated by The City of Calgary and managed by Parks. The City of Calgary encourages groups with low-impact land stewardship ethics to utilize this site. It is a user-maintained site.

Rain or shine we will still go as we are the COCers. Besides rain doesn't last long around in Calgary.

Site Amenities:
- Secluded, fenced space on banks of Elbow River. Please do not be alarmed to see blood stains in the woods.

Site Location
- 7.2 km W along Highway #8 from Sarcee Trail, Approx. 4 km W of Calgary's

Stuff to do (Hang out @ Tipi )
Outdoor games and friendly competitions.

Hike around the Tipi site. During the day and at night. Get yourself ready for Halloween….  Night hike around the woods and get into the mood of the Blair Witch Project ….. there will be light and sound effects to put you into the mood.

BBQ and eat. We commission a Pig Roast as well as BBQ salmon.

Dance….. Last time, we danced around the fire and on the tables!!! Light and sound effects (may be fog machine) and generator to enhance your dancing mood.

Camp fire activities (Bring Marshmellows!! And scary ghost stories!!!)

Please read the following in detail before you sign up:

When the Registration cut-off date is passed and if I have not receive your payment, I would move people from the wait-list to the event list to take your place, i.e. FPFI (First Pay First In).

Participants are expected to help:
- We need volunteers for food prep, games and activities and general entertainers. Step right up!
- Setup, shop, cook and clean up (very important).
- Your eager participation in most if not all activities (where available) - Bring a fun loving, dancing and cheerful attitude.

Cost includes permits, food, equipment rental, misc and admin charges.

PAYMENT INFO:
1) E-mail transfer your monies via PC banking to ken.s.fung@gmail.com.

2) Send cheques to: Kenneth Fung, 7372 Silver Springs Rd. NW, Calgary, AB T3B4L3  . It takes 2 – 4 days for the mail to get to the coordinator, so send your cheque early.

Note: You have to find your own replacement if you cancel after the registration cut-off date.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $1.26 (calculated at total Km * $0.21, effective Saturday, May 25, 2013). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Notes:
This is a special Tipi event as the City of Calgary "may be" giving us a "discount" stay at he Tipis, i.e. other Tipi event would not be as cheap.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in COC events.
