Itinerary:
'Expedition Grizzly' (USA, 2009, 51 min) Producers: Leslie M. Gaines, Thomas Winston
In the wildest corner of the American west, the epic story of the Yellowstone grizzly continues to unfold. Join Casey Anderson, a naturalist whose life has been defined by this incredible species, together with his best friend Brutus, a 900-pound grizzly that Anderson raised from birth. Throughout this odyssey, Anderson explores the many risks that threaten the island population of grizzly bears living in the Yellowstone ecosystem.

'A Life Ascending' (USA, 2010, 57 min) Director/Producer: Stephen Grynberg
Living with his wife and two young daughters on a remote glacier in the Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia, Ruedi Beglinger has built a reputation as one of the top mountaineering guides in the world. The film follows his familys unique life in the mountains and their journey in the years following a massive avalanche that killed seven people. The film ultimately explores the power of nature as both an unforgiving host and profound teacher.

You must purchase your own ticket to get on this event (Eric Harvie Theatre, Noon-Hour Films- October 30 2010). Once you purchase your ticket, please notify me by e-mail and I will move you from the waitlist on to the event. Tickets are $9.00 for two films and can be purchased by calling 1-800-413-8368 or online @The Banff Centre.

I will organize carpool for those who are staying for the 7:30PM films and also for those who are just staying for the noon-hour films if there is sufficient interest.

We will likely go for supper later in the afternoon after the showing.
