PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED:Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the COC.

Beginner belly dancing - modern technique. Begin learning basic moves. No experience necessary. Lessons will include:
Isolations - chest, shoulder, hip
Belly Roll
Tension Step, Midriff Breaks
Hip Drops, Hip Drop Circle, Hip Drop Front/Back, Hip Thrusts, Traveling Hip Thrusts
Undulations
Nahre
Jewel
Snake Arms, Wrist Circles, Head Slide, Backbend
Hip Circles - Single Hip Circle, Turning Single Hip Circle, African, Large Hip Circle (including with bounce)
Shimmies - Lower, Shoulder, Football
Figure 8's - Out, In, Up, Scoop
Figure 8's - Out with Snake Arms, Down and Up
Coffee Grinder
Simple Combinations
Performing and Free-Dance Technique

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
- Hip scarf
- long loose skirt or leggings
- halter or tank top
- sandals (or light shoes) if you want them - the floor is FILTHY! Be aware, though, that much of the hip movement in hula is facilitated through the feet, so whatever you're wearing on your feet must be VERY flexible. If you don't want to go barefoot, I recommend very light/flexible sandals.
- Yoga mat (or other excercise mat) to protect your skin and clothing from said FILTHY floor while we're doing strenth exercises and stretches.
