This event is for slower intermediate and advanced skiers.. We'll start at the Pocaterra Hut and ski a loop which includes the Pocaterra Trail (1.9km), Come Along (1.7km), Lynx (1.5km), Amos (1.3km), Wheeler (3km), Meadow (4.5km) and then Lodgepole (.7km).
* Total distance is approximately 14.6km. * Pace: 5 - 6 km per hour including breaks * Estimated time: 3.5 hours of skiing * Estimated return time: 4:30 - 5 p.m. * Elevation - rolling hills ~ 15m (3 - 4 times!) * Trail difficulty: mostly blue and green with one short black downhill near the end (you can always walk!) Skiers should be comfortable climbing (herringbone / side step) steeper hills and doing controlled decents using a snowplow to slow and turn.
