Itinerary:
This trip is primarily intended for skiers who are confident skiing blue and black runs. We'll do a warmup run together so the group can level themselves and decide who they'd like to ski with for the day.

  • We will be leaving the carpool at 7:00 a.m. so as to arrive at the top of the Gondola by 9:00 a.m. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can arrange carpooling and depart on time. The group will meet up for lunch around 11:30 a.m. at a location agreed upon by everyone - you are welcome to bring your own lunch or buy something on the hill. We'll then re-group at the Creek Side Pub at the gondola base at 4:00 p.m. before heading back to Calgary. Because this is a group event, those who cannot wait for all to ride the gondola together, meet at lunch and at 4:00 PM, are asked to please sign up for another event.

  • FYI, day tickets costs $77, basic rental package costs $40 payable at the resort (not to me).
  • If you want to avoid further line ups, buy your tickets in advance.
  • Skiing/Snowboarding activities have inherent risks involved. Rental packages now include helmets.
  • Check the terrain suitable for you: http://skibanff.com/the_mountain/t errain.php

If you would like to drive please indicate in the notes section how many people including gear you can take in your car, as well as what type of vehicle you will be driving. Try to fill-up your gas tank as well so there will be no more pit stops required from Crowfoot LRT.

This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
