Itinerary:
Thank you to Duane for the following description:
The DropIn Centre needs us. If you are able they would really appreciate your willingness to serve.
Come and participate as we gather together to help feed some people in need. This is a wonderful opportunity to lend a helping hand. The wonderful staff at the DropIn Centre work super hard 7 days a week to assist its clients. All of the businesses that donate food are also to be commended. I have committed to providing a group of approximately 20 individuals for this event meaning the Drop-In Centre will be relying heavily on us to handle all the assembling and serving of meals for the evening. They are counting on a full group so please DO NOT sign up unless you are 100% committed to attending.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS: There is a secure room complete with mini-lockers where we will be asked to store our personal belongings while volunteering at the centre. If you are uncomfortable leaving your items unattended within the centre you are advised to lock any valuables in the trunk of your car before proceeding inside.

PARKING: While volunteering at the DropIn Centre we may use any available reserved parking stall.

AFTERWARDS: Those who are interested in getting together afterwards for a bite to eat can join me at Boston Pizza on 17th Ave SW

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Although the street address for the Drop In Centre is 423 4th AVENUE SE, access to the centre is actually gained from 4th STREET SE.

Make your way along 4th Street SE just a couple blocks north of the C-Train tracks and watch for the short access road to the Drop In Centre located directly under the 4th Avenue flyover.

You can access 4th Street SE by car via the following routes:

From 9th Avenue SE or SW: turn north onto 4th Street SE and follow 4th Street approximately 2 blocks beyond the C train tracks. Watch for the Drop In Centre entrance on the left. Park in any available "reserved" stall.

From Edmonton Trail southbound or Memorial Drive NE: turn south onto 4th Street NE. Cross over the Bow River and you will see the Drop In Centre directly in front of you. Make an immediate left at the first traffic light (Riverfront Ave) followed by a quick right at the next traffic light. You are now back on 4th Street (SE). Proceed about 50 yards or so and watch for the Drop In Centre access road on your right. Park in any available "reserved" stall.

From Downtown 5th Avenue SE (one way eastbound): watch for the 4th Street SE exit ramp immediatley after crossing 3rd Street SE. Follow the exit ramp to a T intersection, turn left onto 4th Street SE and then make another left almost immediately into the Drop In Centre entrance. Park in any available "reserved" stall.
