WEATHER & WATER CONDITIONS PERMITTING

Spend a lovely evening on the water exploring the Glenmore Reservoir. We'll be going along the shoreline, visiting the mouth of the Elbow River and Weaselhead area to observe wildlife. Generally have a nice evening out.

We'll have the boats on the water at 6pm and need to be off the water by 8:30pm sharp. Please be at the meeting point prior to 6pm.

Beginners are welcome. There is no lesson, but newbies will be assisted and accompanied until comfortable. You should also be comfortable being in a small narrow boat on the water. While the weather is usually calm, winds can sometimes generate waves in which you might get splashed. Bring a spare change of clothing and a waterproof shell just in case. We'll go for a social after the paddle.

The kayaks provided will be recreational kayaks without rudders, although many will be higher end rec boats which have the same hull design as touring boats.

NO JEANS OR COTTON CLOTHING TO BE WORN. Cotton when wet, you'll chill very quickly and jeans in water not a good idea.
