Rummel is a beautiful lake in a tranquil setting. It is similar to Chester Lake but not as busy. Some of the shrubs along the trail are the first to reveal their fall colors (bright reds and yellows). Great views of Spray Lake along the way.

Take Hwy 1 west out of town. Go south on Hwy 40 for approx 56km. Turn right onto the Kananaskis Lakes Trail just before the winter gate. Turn north (right) onto the Smith-Dorrien Trail (gravel road). Park at the turn-off for Engadine lodge.
