WEATHER & WATER CONDITIONS PERMITTING.

Spend a lovely day on the water exploring Barrier Lake. Spectacular mountain views.Great way to spend a day out in the countryside. We'd be spending 2.5 hours on the lake and after that, have a picnic lunch by the lakeshore, go swimming or just chill out. Bring food for yourself and food you'd like to share. Don't bring for 20 people though :)

NO JEANS TO BE WORN. Jeans in water not a good idea. Bring a spare change of clothes in case you get splashed or decide to go for a swim.

- kayak, paddle, PFD
- whistle, throw bag with tow rope, bailer
- self rescue equipment

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Head west on Hwy 1. Turn South at Hwy 40 into Kananaskis Country (you'll see the Casino at the junction). Go PAST the visitor centre. Go PAST the first Barrier Picnic sign. Head about 2 km further, turn right at the SECOND Barrier picnic sign. Keep to the right until you get to the beach and boat ramp.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $64.50 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, April 19, 2024).
