Itinerary:
The purpose of this get together (besides having a beer) is to examine to possibility of doing a trip to New Zealand in February or March of 2014. There is no guarantee that this trip will happen but having a meeting is the first step to determine feasibility and level of interest for this destination.

New Zealand is a relatively small country (Alberta is about 2.5x bigger) but offers an incredible amount of diversity despite its size. From jagged mountain ranges and breathtaking glaciers, to large inland lakes and beautiful rolling hills, to great wine regions and amazing white sand beaches, to soothing geothermal areas and quaint little towns, to a taste of Polynesian culture with its Maori people, New Zealand has a little of everything. The plan would be to explore as much of it as reasonably possible with an emphasis on hiking.

I have already done some research and should be able to provide general info such as estimated trip costs and also possible itineraries. This will be an informal gathering so there will not be an official presentation as such but instead plenty of time for group or one-on-one discussion.
