Itinerary:
An evening workout, the ultimate stairmaster. We will hike/run up Prairie Mountain at a brisk pace and meet at the top then run back down (the fun bit). The event will go on regardless of weather. You will need to turn around and head back down regardless of your position after 2 hours to ensure you have enough light to see going down. You should some degree of fitness.

Distance: 7km round trip
Elevation gain: 715m

Water, good runnable footwear, bag for muddy shoes, change of clothes.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take HWY 22x West or Hwy 22 past Bragg Creek then connect to Hwy 66.
Travel 19 kms west on Hwy 66 toward Kananaskis. You will see a blue sign that says Elbow Falls. At the turn off to the falls, go past the winter gate on the main road.
100m down past the gate is a blue Beaver Lodge sign (19.1km more or less). Park at lots on the left beside the road immediately after this sign.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $39.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, April 19, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle.
