The Kindersley/Sinclair Loop is one of the best hikes in Kootenay National Park. This hike is rated in the top 12 on Gem Trek's list of favourite hikes and is rated an outstanding hike in "Don't Waste Your Time in the Canadian Rockies."

We'll start this loop from the Kindersley Pass trailhead. This is a longer but more gradual ascent to Kindersley-Sinclair Col. From there we'll descend the steep slope into Sinclair Creek canyon where we'll pick up the established trail leading back to the Sinclair Creek trailhead.

Plan for a long day as we may stop for a bite/drink on the way back.

This trip is best suited to strong hikers.

Note that this will be a Shuttle Hike. One vehicle will be left at our destination (Sinclair Creek trailhead) so that at the end of the hike the remaining drivers can retrieve their vehicles from our starting point (Kindersley Pass trailhead).

The trailhead for Kindersley Pass is 1.2km past Sinclair Cr Trailhead. This parking area is on the left side of the highway and is unsigned. Park there. If for some reason you reach Radium, you have gone too far and need to turn around and come back.

Before starting the event we will shuttle one vehicle back to Sinclair Creek trailhead where the hike will finish.
