Itinerary:
Other than the possibly the weather being an issue, we are a go this time! If the weather looks really poor Sat evening / Sunday morning, we may change the destination. Parks Canada closes the upper part of this trail in August, so we'll see if we can do it before then.

Before signing up, read the entire description!

Although this event is rated as a D4, There is plenty of elevation to ride up and the trail is very rocky in places. We will not be in any hurry though, regrouping regularly, and stopping for photos is encouraged. If you are unwilling to be patient and stick with the group, please find another event.

The Moraine Lake trail is mostly downhill!. We have to ride up, but that will be mostly on the road, so not too hard. There are plenty of rooty and rocky sections and mild sidehill exposure on the trail. The scenery is great, but caution is advised when taking in the views unless you are stopped.

Starting in Lake Louise we'll ride up the Tramline Trail to the junction of Moraine lake road and take it up to the lake. We will stop at the lake for lunch before heading down the Moraine Lake trail and back down to Lake Louise.
For those that are interested, we may stop for a bit of socializing after the ride. Consider that if carpooling.
