PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED:Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the COC.

Itinerary:
Are you a non-runner, but wondering what it might be like to start? Geared towards beginners, this 10 week programme will help you move from walking to running and help learn running efficiency and get you ready to run a 5km run well. Every week will start with a quick session on a variety of topics (nutrition, injury prevention, etc.) by an experienced MEC runner, followed by a run.

Note that this event is only for people who are also signed up for MEC's Run a 5k Programme.
Beginners must have been signed up for the programme by August 20. More intermediate runners may still be able to join. If you are joining late, please e-mail barbara dot b at shaw dot ca or you will be removed from the attendee list.

Let's all learn to run together, and who knows, maybe we'll be pretty decent on the October 19 race :-).

Member Cost:$21.00/Person
Cost Includes:This is a registered running programme offered through MEC. Full programme cost is $21 ($20 + GST) and is paid (directly to MEC) once at the beginning to cover all ten weeks.
