Snow depth at Sunshine: about 110 cm.
Weather forecast: about -10C

This trip is intended for all levels of skiers and boarders.

We'll do one or two warmup runs together, and then break off into similar-ability groups for the rest of the day.

Make sure you know where the Petro-Canada car pool location is and where to park. Please read below for instructions.

We are leaving the car pool location at 7:15 am. Please arrive 5 mins early (not too early please). DO NOT be late. If you are going to be late, call me at 403-618- 8865 so that we can make arrangement to wait/not wait for you.

We are gathering up on the second floor of the Creekside Pub (restaurant beside the gondola at the base of the mountain) between 8:45 and 9:00 am.

We are having lunch at 12:30 pm at the cafeteria on the second floor of the day lodge. The cafeteria is called "Alpine Grill".

At the end of the day, we are gathering up again on the second floor of the Creekside Pub at 4:30 pm at the base of the mountain before leaving the hill together.

Lift tickets at Sunshine cost $85. If you have the Sunshine discount card, you will get $15 off. Basic ski/snowboard rental package is about $40.

If you would like to drive, please indicate how many people you can take (including yourself and gears). Should this information change prior to the trip, please advise the coordinator accordingly. Thanks!

Properly equipped members are permitted to ski / board Delirium Dive / Wild West areas provided that the areas are open, patrolled, and that members meet all of the Resort's criteria for admittance. No exceptions.

- Money for car pooling & don’t forget donation to the club

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $72.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Tuesday, April 16, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Terrain Classification: This event is exempt from avalanche planning because we will be skiing at a ski resort. No out of bounds skiing allowed.
Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip.

Skiing/Snowboarding activities have inherent risks involved. Rental packages now include helmets.
