The COC Training Program

The objectives of the Calgary Outdoor Training Program in 2015 are to:
a) provide educational sessions to members
b) raise awareness about different aspects of the outdoors
c) increase the members' safety while enjoying their activities in the mountains
d) provide everyone the opportunity to ask pertinent questions

We are very fortunate to have Randy Axani-Kananaskis District conservation officer come down from Kananaskis and provide this presentation for COC only.

Regardless of the outdoor activities you enjoy in the mountains, you are in bear country. You will learn about bear habits, and behaviours to make your time in the mountains a safe one.

Please go upstairs to the Kids section where the Product Team room is located. YOU will need to "Check In" with the coordinator. If you arrive late please ensure that you check in with me before you leave so you are not coded "no show".

Please only register for the session if you are 100% committed to attend it. This is not open to the general public, this session is only for COC. Unreasonable last minute cancellations(2 hours or less prior to event) and no shows preventing others from attending the event will be recorded. Thank you for your consideration for other COC members.
