Itinerary:
IMPORTANT - Read:
   · This is a North Coast Trail training hike , which means that I will give preference to people signed up for the North Coast Trail event in August.
Everyone will automatically end up on the wait list. Any spots not claimed by NCT people by Tuesday evening will be given to people on the wait list.
   · Do not be in a rush to get back to the city. We are out to enjoy the day and event duration may vary.
   · We will be going at a slower pace for the uphill portions, and more moderate for the downhill. This is not a hike for speed demons.

Distance: 14.6km
Elevation Gain: 740m
Summit Elevation: 2,437m

From the trailhead, we will hike along the old lookout pack road to the foot of the mountain. From there we will find a very well constructed set of switchbacks that will take us all the way to the top of the first peak. At this point the trail levels out for a while as we head for the main peak and the final ascent to the fire lookout. Moose Mountain is located halfway between the prairies and the first range of the Rocky Mountains, offering an unparalleled views for 160km in all directions.
