The full extent of hiking Mist Ridge takes you 23km over a lengthy ridgewalk. We will hike this ridge all the way to the north summit, then retrace our steps back to the trail head. Note that we will be on steep terrain with dense vegetation. This is also prime grizzly area.

Mist Ridge ranks among Kananaskis's most thrilling ridgewalks. The ridgecrest is generally snow-free by late June, and the slopes can be luxuriant in early July. The annual wildflower display includes scorpionweed, fleabane, wild blue flax, plumed aven, alpine forget-me-not, Jacob's ladder, moss campion, and rock jasmine. We will frequently see Cliff Creek valley off on our right, and Mist Creek Valley towards our left. Mist Mountain anchors the south end of the range, Storm Mountain the north end. Between them, four canyons drain into Most Creek valley. Our eyes should be feasting all day.
