Great hike for early risers and experienced hikers who love spectacular scenery.

PLS note: Snow in the mountains- foot traction (icers/microspikes) needed.

Harvey Pass offers spectacular views of Mount Assiniboine and surrounding area.

For a higher vantage and challenge we are adding a trek to Mt. Bourgeau. This will be a long day so all participants must bring at least 2L of water, although 3L is preferred and don't forget to bring more snacks/food then usual. Please note that since this is a difficult hike I will be checking your COC hiking history and might be touching base with you. This is rated D6 because of distance and elevation. Bears LOVE to hang out here.

NOTE:This event may be canceled or changed if weather forecast detoriates significantly- if chance of rain etc... is high.

PACE:
Please note that this is NOT a hike for SPEED Demon's OR if you are an advanced hiker who insists on a fast pace.We will be hiking Moderate pace on gentler grades and at a Slower pace on Steeper terrain . If you're not sure about this hike, feel free to contact the coordinator and remember to always hike within your ability in order to be able to keep up with the group. If you have not hiked before or Recently hiked with 800M+, it is highly recommended that you start with lower elevations and build up from there. If you're use to "slowpoke pace hikes" then this hike is not for you- .

++++Please be sure you are confident in your ability to cover the stated distance and elevation, since we are Not turning back.++++

******* Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are NOT trained guides. All participants are responsible for their OWN safety and equipment. One should come prepared as if they were hiking by themselves.*******
