PLEASE NOTE: Priority will be given to active Volunteers and Premier members. Regular members will be added if space permits.

The COC Training Program

The objectives of the Calgary Outdoor Club Training Program in 2014 are to:
   a) provide educational sessions to members;
   b) raise awareness about different aspects of the outdoors   
   c) increase the members' safety while enjoying their activities in the mountains    and
   d) provide everyone the opportunity to ask pertinent questions.

The Ski Wax Session

This is a session is on how to maintain your skis - a talk and demonstration. It will focus on how to properly wax your skies, cover ski structure and general ski maintenance. Please do not bring your skis.

This will help you become familiar with all the materials and techniques required to wax Nordic skis, including:
   - Cleaning your bases
   - Applying glide and kick waxes
   - Applying Klister
   - Waxing waxless bases
   - Tips for selecting appropriate waxes to mach conditions

This presentation is for COC only and is not open to the general public.

Mountain Equipment Co-Op now charges for ski wax clinics, but have kindly offered to do this session for FREE for the COC.
Please only register for this event if you are serious about attending. Unreasonable last minute cancellations (2 hours or less prior to event) and no shows preventing others from attending the event will be recorded. Thank you for your consideration for other COC members.
