Itinerary: | |||||||
This is a relatively long trail for this early in the season but conditions are good and it's track-set according to skierbob and Parks Canada. The aim is to be moving at an average of 10 km/hour so this event is for strong intermediate to advanced skiers. We will start at the trailhead behind Banff Springs Hotel and go towards Goat Creek parking lot and back. The distance is just under 40 kms with ~350 m of net elevation gain. We will have lunch on the trail and plan to stop for apres either in Banff or Canmore. | |||||||
