Moose Meadows to Ink Pots (at 5.3 km)
The ink pots (seven cold mineral springs at a constant temperature of 4ºC) are situated in a very fragile area (stay on trail). Their colours vary from deep blue to milky green, depending on the amount of fine particules suspended in the water. The bottom of the ink pots is comprised of quicksand.

Ink Pots to Johnston Canyon Upper Falls (at 8.4 km)

Johnston Canyon Upper Falls to Parkway (at 11.1 km)
In winter the lower falls of Johnston Creek are almost completely frozen in a solid mass. Here we will likely see ice climbers and spectacular ice formations.

Roadside Walk: Johnston Canyon trailhead to Moose Meadows trailhead (at 12.5 km)
To make this a loop, we need to return 1.4km along the road to the parking lot.
