Approx. Distance: ~9.5km - 13km return
Approx-Elevation Gain: ~465m - 606m Hiking footwear required-Sorry no runners or jeans or sweatpants. Come and join us on this hike on Monday-nice weather/sunny. The distance/elevation will vary depending on how much we decide/can explore. This area west of Turner Valley, offers lots of smaller ridges and hills that are free of snow in the sunny areas. However expect some wet ground conditions - mud, water, some ice. Note that as this is an explorer hike, the actual route may vary due to the conditions that we encounter. This will be a combined trail/off-trail hike PACE:We will be going at a slower pace for the uphill portions, and moderate on flatter sections. PLEASE NOTE: Do not be in a rush to return to Calgary, we are out to enjoy the day and time may vary. +++ PLS NOTE: At this time of year icers/micro-spikes are still required; you never know what you will encounter. No icers = no hike -- sorry.+++ Bob Spirko's trip report. | |||||||
