Greetings fellow COC'ers!

Today I am coordinating my 800th event for the Calgary Outdoor Club while simultaneously attending my 900th and therefore would like to invite you to join me in celebrating this (double) milestone with a day of fun, food and fellowship!

We will kick things off at Canada Olympic Park where we'll enjoy multiple runs on the exciting skyline luge (see video below) before making the short 10 minute drive to Franco's for a delicious barbequed meal prepared by master chef Glavina himself.

BBQ includes:
Shrimp appies
Cheese & crackers
Grilled veggies
Chicken kabobs
Pork kabobs
Assorted pop/juice
Milestone cake
Miscellaneous items
*Alcohol is welcome but kindly bring your own.

Also, don't forget your lawn chair for use while socializing in the backyard and around the fire pit. Shuffleboard, billiards, ping pong and foosball will also be available to enjoy indoors.

IMPORTANT:Franco has not only generously offered up his home for this event but will also be picking up and preparing the majority of the food. As a result, this portion of the event will require a pre-payment of $13.00 per person to be received no later than the registration deadline of Wednesday June 10th. Please send payment via interac email money transfer to "duanev@telus.net" or pay me in person at an upcoming event. Advance payment for the Luge is not required. Individuals will be responsible to purchase their own tickets on site at C.O.P.

Originating in New Zealand in 1985, Skyline's Luge is a great attraction which has been enjoyed by millions of people from around the globe. Having hosted over 30 million rides worldwide, the Skyline Luge is a unique wheeled gravity ride that provides riders full control over their descent on a purpose built track.

The summer Skyline Calgary Luge track runs alongside the famous Winsport Olympic Luge track and is 1.8 kilometres (5905 feet) of twists and turns dropping over 100 metres (328 feet) in its course. It's the world's longest Luge track yet!

Come on out and enjoy a fun filled afternoon of luging at Canada Olympic Park followed by a fantastic bbq & social time at Franco's! You are in complete control as you cruise through close to 2km of track. Take your time and enjoy the scenery or spice things up by challenging fellow COC'ers to a thrilling race to the bottom! Pricing includes your lift ticket, helmet and luge. Purchase as many trips as you like, but keep in mind the more you buy the better the value. Trust me, you're gonna want the 5 pack!
