This is a 3 day/2 night XC ski trip where we will spend the first day XC skiing into Elk Lakes Cabin, explore beyond the cabin the second day, and ski out on the last day. Exact itinerary for the second day will be determined closer to the event date based on conditions. We will have group dinners both nights. Meals will be determined closer to the event as well; if you have any dietary restrictions, please note these when you sign up..

Carpool Cost: | Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $81.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Thursday, March 28, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Terrain Classification: Exempt from avalanche planning as this is on and official groomed XC ski trail to Elk Pass and official trail along the hydroline for the remainder to Elk Lakes Cabin.. Conditions: Not yet available at Alpine, not yet available at Treeline, and not yet available Below Treeline. (Will be updated in the week prior to the event when the avalanche bulletin is available). Plan: We will ski on the official XC ski trail to the cabin and Simple/Class I terrain on our explorer day. Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides.
