ICELAND! ICELAND! ICELAND!

Folks, our Aug 2016 Iceland Backpacking Trip is shaping up nicely. We have 4 confirmed (those with air tickets) and a couple of maybes. We will have a total of 8 spaces (huts have already been booked).

ANOTHER 4 COC MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US. We are aiming for Iceland’s premier hike – the Laugavegur Trail (including the mountain pass travel to Skogar by the sea). Your backcountry hiking capability may be assessed by the coordinator to determine your suitability.

This is the trail we’re planning to hike: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAXHAyOD2Gk
Approximate cost of this trip will be $2,200 (including airfare). This is based on a very modest budget (camping, hostels, cheap meals, etc). You are responsible for your airfare and all other costs. You will only pay your coordinator for the hut fees, which he has already paid in advance to the Icelandic trail club. Once paid, hut fees will be non-refundable.
