Itinerary:
The City of Calgary has a fun, family-friendly line up of activities for New Year's Eve that take place in City Hall and at Olympic Plaza.

Our plan is as follows:
8:00 PM: Meet in front of the Central Library at 616 Macleod Tr SE for an 8:05 departure for our walk to Olympic Plaza.
8:10 to 8:40: Walk around Olympic Plaza to scope out the various activities including ice sculptures, bonfires and music.
8:45 to 9:00: Walk through City Hall where events will be on until 9:00PM giving us a chance to warm up for a moment and perhaps get a free hot chocolate.
9:05 to as long as you want: Go back to Olympic Plaza and visit those activities that caught our interest. Those that want to skate can head to the rink (bring your own skates or rentals will be available) and we will set a time to meet up again
11:45 PM (approx.): Countdown to midnight with a laser show, music and fireworks.

Important Notes:
1. Come dressed prepared for up to four hours outside and to layer down for inside.
2. If you are bringing a guest, you must bring a completed and signed waiver. No waiver = no participation and a potential no-show. Here is the link to print out the waiver: Waiver. Adults must sign for children under 18.
3. You can stay for some or all, it is up to you.
4. The last public transit leaves downtown at 3:00 AM.
5. Read New Year's Eve Celebrations 2016 link for more details on the events and the extended New Year's Eve public transportation.
