We are very pleased to inform you that the Calgary Outdoor Club (COC) will subsidize 50% of the Introductory to Paragliding Course. The total cost per person is $130.00 + GST. COC will subsidize $65.00 + GST and each selected participant will be asked to pay in advance the remaining $65.00 + GST. Included in this course is instruction and all technical flying equipment, i.e. glider, harness, helmet.

++++You must be available April 21(Thursday) - evening 7:30pm - 9:00pm + April 23(Saturday) - 8:00am - noon + April 24(Sunday) 8:00am - noon = 3 days.++++

Experience the exhilaration of flying! Paragliding is simple and easy to learn. Instruction begins on flat ground and you gradually progress up the hill to higher take-off points as your skill and comfort level increase.

This course consists of an evening classroom session at U of C and 4 hours of outdoor practical flight training.

The classroom ground school includes a presentation on what allows a paraglider to fly, how to control it & instructions for the flight day.

The 4 hours of flight training will "Take Place" on hills within Calgary. The exact location will be announced at the ground school. We can complete the 4 hours of flight training on one day but we have scheduled it for two just in case the weather doesn't work out on the first. If the weather is good both days, the second day will be a bonus day.

+++IMPORTANT INFORMATION/SELECTION CRITERIA: +++

- The Course will be provided through The University of Calgary.
- Once you've paid there will be "NO REFUND" available for the course.
