This is a superb day hike, available early in the season and fantastic views of the front range. Expect some tricky sections as you dodge flood damage including downed trees, creek crossings, narrow trails over steep drops and route finding . The trail climbs steadily to the tarn. The push from the tarn up to the ridge is very steep but short. Will walk the grassy ridge, have lunch and enjoy the fantastic view.
