Itinerary:

Let's strengthen those legs and lungs! Come on out for a daytime slow- ish pace urban conditioning hike. Sorry, no dogs.

Meet at Crescent Road and 4th St NW - NOT at the top of the stairs. We will follow a variety of dirt, gravel and paved paths up and down along McHugh Bluffs, between Centre St and 10th St - although we will not cross either street - and will include one or two trips up the stairs near the curling club. Stairs are optional and those who prefer can take an alternate and less intense route.

Bring whatever type of daypack or backpack you wish and whatever amount of weight you are comfortable carrying - or no pack at all if you prefer.

Required Items to Bring:
- layered clothing appropriate to changing weather conditions
- Ice traction when conditions are wintry. Trails get treacherously slippery!
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
- daypack or backpack if you wish, loaded with whatever amount of weight you prefer
- water
- whatever else you need

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Access 12th Ave from Centre St or 4th St N.W. Then turn south onto 3rd St NW. Turn West on Crescent Road til you get to 4th St N.W. Please don't park along 4th Street as this causes difficulty for residents. Plenty of free 2 hour parking is available along Crescent Road, watch signage. Meet at the top of the hill near the bench.
