+++DRIVERS ARE NEEDED+++

They say that this is the last week for "larches" therefore this is a great hike for early risers and experienced hikers who love gorgeous scenery.

PLS NOTE:We are leaving super early to make sure that we get a parking spot at Morraine Lake parking lot. It's been crazy busy - even during the weekday.
There is currently a hiking restriction of 4 people needed to hike in this area, so if you sign up it would be appreciated if you commit.

PLS NOTE: Because of recent snowfall- I strongly suspect as per hikes close by that some of the trails will be in the early morning slippery/icey.
++++++++ Micro- spikes strongly recommended.++++++++We will not turn back-so come prepared.

This is the Valley of the Ten Peaks, best appreciated from the higher vantages of Larch Valley and Sentinel Pass, but the trail to Eiffel Lake, while lower, has the benefit of being even closer to the peaks, and the contouring trail allows you to devote full attention to them instead of boot placement or muscle strain.

En route to Wenkchemna Pass, Eiffel Lake is impressive enough to warrant destination status. It's spectacular in bright sunlight, shimmering from sapphire to cobalt. The lake is named after the peak above its northeast shore. But it's Neptuak Mtn, above the southwest shore, that hikers marvel at from the trail while gazing at the lake. Neptuak, which means nine in the Stoney Indian language, is the ninth peak in the celebrated ten. The Stoney word for ten? Wenkchemna.

Please do not be in a hurry to get back to get to Calgary, we are out to enjoy the day-hiking time may vary.

Please note that this is not a speed demon's hike(getting to the top in record time) nor is it for very slowpokes, we will be hiking at a Slower Steady pace on steeper terrain and a moderate pace on gentler grades and going down. If you're NOT wanting to maintain this pace, pls do not sign up.

IF you have not hiked in the mountains before nor recently hiked with 550M+, this hike is not for you. .

IF you have no recent COC hiking history pls email me with your recent hiking history.
