+++Drivers are needed+++

- Read:
At this time of the year +++Micro- spikes+++ are highly recommended (recent snowfall). We never know what we will encounter.

The James Walker Route starts as part of the Sawmill - Chester trail network, heads up along James Walker Creek and ends at an unnamed lake. We will explore to see how far we can go. Some light bushwhacking may be required as the trail is quite faint as soon as you get off the ski trails (Kathy & Craig Copeland describe the trail as "a psycho path" with a normal-looking trailhead, followed by a couple of hours in the trees before fully enjoying the rock slabs, tarns, and spectacular views of the 3,000m peaks).

**Please do not be in a rush to get back to Calgary; we are out to enjoy the day and event duration may vary. Your coordinator likes to explore so be ready to explore the spectacular/unique scenery in this area.**

PACE: Relaxed slower pace when doing the uphill portions and moderate for the balance. If you are a speed demon please sign up for another hike.

Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are NOT trained guides. All participants are responsible for their OWN safety and equipment.
