Itinerary:

Dear stairs climbers, :D

I'll keep coordinating the Stairs event every Thursday night at 5:15-5:30ish until the end of the year... rain/snow or shine. I'm aware that some people can come right after work while others are able to make it around 5:30 or 6pm. (We were at the stairs until 7pm last week.) Please don't get stressed because of the traffic and arrive **whenever you can**. It doesn't matter if you are early or late... I'm just happy you can make it! :)

NOTE: There are lights at the top, the middle and the bottom of the stairs but I encourage you to bring a headlamp if you find it too dark. Microspikes/icers are recommended when the stairs are slippery. I wear my trail running shoes instead of pavement runners for better traction.

These stairs are near the Glencoe Club. They are in Earl Grey Park, in Upper Mount Royal. Not too far from Safeway on the corner of 4th Street and Elbow Drive SW.

There are 157 steps to climb up-and-down. Really good training for your hikes and backpacking trips or just to improve your overall stamina. Everyone is free to go as fast as they want; you go at your own pace!

Let's meet on the corner of Hope Street and Earl Grey Crescent SW around 5:30pm (at the top of the stairs). There is plenty of free parking spaces on the street. Please “Google Map” the area if you are unsure of where it is. Bus #3 also passes by this Safeway.
